European Commission Representation in Sweden
SE-103 90 Stockholm
On Tuesday, January 21 2014, the European Commission Directorate-General for Enterprise and Industry hosted a seminar in Sweden at the European Commission Representation in Stockholm on the issue of late payment and the application of a new European directive to tackle the problem.
This directive is an important legal development for businesses, particularly SMEs, and public authorities in Sweden and across the EU. It puts in place strict time-lines and tough penalties for payment between businesses, and between businesses and public authorities.
The seminar provided participants with an opportunity to learn more about the problem of late payment and the new measures being put in place to address the issue.
This campaign is funded by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Enterprise and Industry and is part of the European Commission’s ongoing commitment to promoting economic growth and European business.
