On Wednesday, 26 June 2013, the European Commission Directorate-General for Enterprise and Industry is hosting a seminar in Romania at the Ramada Majestic Hotel in Bucharest on the issue of late payment and the application of a new European directive to tackle the problem.

This directive is an important legal development for businesses, particularly SMEs, and public authorities in Romania and across the EU. It puts in place strict time-lines and tough penalties for payment between businesses, and between businesses and public authorities.

The seminar will provide participants with an opportunity to learn more about the problem of late payment and the new measures being put in place to address the issue. 

This campaign is funded by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Enterprise & Industry and is part of the European Commission’s ongoing commitment to promoting economic growth and European business.
