The EU’s next seven year general R&D budget (2014-2020) – known as Horizon 2020 – is now in its early preparatory phase. The programme’s broad outlines and budgetary indications were presented by Commissioners Máire Geoghegan-Quinn, Androulla Vassiliou and Vice-President Antonio Tajani on 30 November.
