Workshop - Raw materials for a Modern Society, 28 February 2011, Brussels
The aim of this workshop was to discuss with stakeholders the sustainable supply of raw materials and the major challenges ahead, bottlenecks and the means to overcome the current situation.
The morning session focused on the concept of Innovation Partnerships in the framework of the EU2020 flagship initiative "Innovation Union" and the Commission's initial findings for the potential of an Innovation Partnership on raw materials. In order to facilitate the discussions, a non-paper on Raw Materials for a Modern Society was circulated. The findings of the discussions have been summarised and presented by the rapporteurs.
