European Business Organisations (EBO) Worldwide Network
With the support of the European Commission, the EBO Worldwide Network was created in 2001 between representatives of EU business associations in non-EU countries and specific interest groups from the European Commission. It stands as the sole network representing EU-wide business interests in Third Countries.
The main objective of this group is to promote exchanges of views between these associations and their host countries and to establish closer relationships between the Commission services and these organisations, raise awareness on EU policy priorities and activities and improve the basis for further development and implementation of EU policies.
The EBO Worldwide Network, which extends to more than twenty countries around the world, aims at providing a lobbying, information and networking platform for European businesses worldwide.
The growing network of European Business Organisations currently connects European business associations and chambers of commerce located in Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Brazil, Chile, China, former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Ukraine, USA and Vietnam.
On 15-17 November 2010, the EBO Worldwide Network met in Brussels for their 10th Annual Meeting.
