INNO-Actions

The second generation of the INNO-Actions has focused on bringing together public actors responsible for innovation with a view to fostering transnational cooperation on support for innovation through different instruments.

European Cluster Excellence Initiative

In 2009, the European Cluster Excellence Initiative (ECEI) began the development of methodologies and tools to support cluster organisations to improve their capabilities in the management of networks and clusters. Within this context, 13 project partners from 9 countries – all well experienced in the field of cluster management and support – have created training and coaching materials for cluster managers as well as a quality labeling system for professional cluster management. The European Cluster Managers’ Club and the European Cluster Collaboration Platform are further modules that promote excellence in cluster management.

Innovation Festival

Innovation Festival (IF…) was a celebration of innovation and creativity across six European cities, Barcelona (ES), Milan (IT), Kortrijk (BE), Lisbon (PT), Vilnius (LT) and Tallinn (ET). It addressed important societal challenges such as how to foster creativity and innovation to attract new talent, how to understand the impact of new technologies in our life, how can design contribute to sustainable innovation, what is the role of social innovation in improving mobility, diversity and inclusion, and how innovation can create new partnerships and opportunities.
