European Social Innovation Prize Launch Event

On 1 October, European Commission President José Manuel Durão Barroso launched the European Social Innovation Prize competition, in memory of Diogo Vasconcelos at the Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon.

Nearly 200 people attended; senior officials from the Portuguese government, Diogo's family and colleagues and social innovators from across the world.

Thank you all for making this day into a celebration of Diogo's legacy and into such a great start of the competition. Already, over 500.000 people received the launch tweet, but please continue talking about this great opportunity to come up with solutions for more and better jobs!
