The Regional Innovation Monitor regional correspondents have been undertaking visits to regional stakeholders throughout 2013 and are currently in the process of starting the 2014 networking activities in the regions. The objective of the visits is to promote RIM Plus activities and raise awareness among the regional policy makers about how they can use the RIM Plus services. At the same time, regional correspondents collect relevant information about regional innovation policies and most recent developments to raise awareness and facilitate the mutual learning at European level on the latest developments in regional innovation on the ground.
This series of short regional visits reports provide a brief snapshot of the landscape of regional innovation in twenty-four European regions, the latest developments in the governance structure of innovation policies, as well as the ongoing efforts of the regional stakeholders towards smart specialisation strategies and towards updated planning for 2014-2020. The visits were undertaken from March to September 2013.
