Expert benchmarking tool
As the first ever regional level innovation policy monitor, the RIM builds on expert assessments to compile a diverse set of indicators on governance framework conditions and policy trends.
The benchmarking tool available on the RIM public website, provides pre-specified options to benchmark against national and EU averages. In contrast, the interface of the expert benchmarking tool allows the user to compare any (group of) region(s) against any other (group of) region(s) in Europe , as long as data is available. Moreover, it enables the user to export the results of a query into .pdf format as well as to directly print dynamically generated charts.
Who's who profiles are designed to facilitate personal exchange of information among users who can be contacted through a contact form available on their profiles without disclosing their actual email address. By default, an individual's profile page is visible by registered users only. If desired, the user can choose to make his/her profile visible to all visitors.
The registered user can also benefit from a series of personalised functions, through the function "my dashboard":
- News and events streams and latest updates related to regions selected in the user's profile;
- Ability to export in pdf regional specific pages stored in the briefcase;
- Monitoring tool for tracking feedbacks provided by the user.
Feed-in and Feed-back
RIM's feed-in function provides an excellent opportunity for the registered user to create content such as news, events, regional innovation policy documents and organisations. This is an exceptional chance to raise awareness among EU, national and regional innovation stakeholders.
In addition to the feed-in function, the RIM feed-back feature allows the registered user to comment on any published content on the RIM website. The aim of this function is to provide the most up-to-date information. The core team together with the network of regional correspondents will analyse the suggested changes and take appropriate actions. The user who provided the feed-back will be notified once information is updated by the regional correspondent.
