Workshop on protective textiles lead market
On 14 December 2009, the Directorate-General for Enterprise and Industry organised a one-day workshop on the protective textiles lead market. You can find below main outcomes and presentations given at this workshop.
A mid-term progress report of the Lead Market Initiative was published on 9 September 2009. September saw also the launch of a three-year pilot project for the establishment of a network of public procurement organisations responsible for protective textiles. Therefore it was the right time to bring together the representatives of Member States and candidate countries, to take stock of the progress of the protective textiles Lead Market so far and discuss future actions that could be initiated through the Lead Market Initiative. Total of 46 participants attended this first workshop, which will be followed by more targeted events with Member States' experts on different areas of public procurement of relevance to protective textiles.
