Business Panel on future innovation policy

DG Enterprise and Industry has established a business panel to provide inputs from a business perspective on priorities for future EU innovation policy. Panel's debates fed into the final report, that was a major input to the Innovation Union strategy.

The members of the panel were:

• Diogo Vasconselos (Chair), Distinguished Fellow, CISCO Internet Business Solutions Group
• Dr Anne Stenros, Design Director (Vice President, Design), KONE Corporation
• Gianfranco Corini, President, NEXT-Ingegneria dei Sistemi S.p.A
• Professor Ruediger Iden, Senior Vice President, BASF Aktiengesellschaft
• Jan Lamser, Member of Board of Directors and Senior Executive Officer, CSOB Bank (member of KBC Group)

The panel wass supported by a rapporteur:

• Professor Maureen McKelvey, Professor of Industrial Management, School of Business, Economics and Law, University of Gothenburg.

From 7 July to 31 August 2009, the panel was holding an open online debate on its ideas and proposals through the Innovation Unlimited site. The panel completed its work in September 2009.
The debate fed into the final report, that was a major input to the Innovation Union.
