World Standards Day 2011 Conference
"Competitiveness through standardisation"
On 14 October 2011, the European Commission DG Enterprise and Industry held its annual Conference to mark World Standards Day.
This year, the event was devoted to the examination of the support that standardisation will continue giving to the competitiveness of the European economy in order to ensure innovation and growth for Europe in the world.
The Conference featured three panel debates:
- "How standardisation supports Intelligent Transport System (ITS)",
- "Standards as a tool for Security Industrial Policy" and
- "Standardisation for interoperability and competitiveness in Space".
