On 30 August 2012 new consolidated lists of references of harmonised standards under the three (main) medical devices directives were published in the Official Journal of the European Union.

The harmonised standards, the references of which were published in the Official Journal last Friday, provide solutions for compliance and confer a presumption of conformity with the relevant essential health and safety requirements of the Machinery Directive.

A consolidated list of references of harmonised standards under the measuring instruments directive 2004/22/EC have been published in the Official Journal.

A new consolidated list of references of harmonised standards under the low voltage directive 2006/95/EC was published in the Official Journal of the European Union OJ C 245 of 14 August 2012.

A list of references of harmonised standards for pressure equipment and harmonised supporting standards for materials used in manufacturing pressure equipment was published in the Official Journal C 233 on 3 August 2012.
