Study on the access to standardisation

Standardisation is a process managed by organisations active at national, international or European levels. Transparent and facilitated access is crucial for main stakeholders, in particular SMEs. The purpose of the action is to investigate the situation regarding access to standardisation across the EU, compare national situations, detect barriers and areas for improvements and make recommendations regarding facilitating participation and contribution of stakeholders in the process. The study will also investigate conditions for accessibility to standards, including purchasing, understanding and application.
