A range of activities – not all visible to the wider audience - have been conducted since the launch of ESIC initiative. Two videos prepared during the beginning of the year provide compact overview on the work done.
The first video, filmed at the Large-scale Demonstrator workshop held in Brussels on 12-13 February, 2014, presents the ESIC initiative in a nutshell. The narrator, Mr. Allan Mayo, the former Chair of the Expert Panel on Service Innovation in the EU, interviews the representatives of the EC, the six model demonstrator regions, and the members of the ESIC consortium to explain how services can help transforming European regions and fostering growth.
The second video provides insights from Luxembourg and especially on the peer review meeting held on 6-7 February, 2014. The video summarises the steps of the regional work: what has been the starting point, what is challenge the region is addressing with the Large-scale Demonstrator approach, what kind of activities the ESIC has conducted in the region, and what will happen after the peer review. The representatives of Luxembourg share their views on the relevance of having participated in the ESIC initiative and the added value to the region provided by ESIC. The video also emphasises the important role of services in transforming regional ecosystems.
