The Tenth Plenary Session of the Group on Earth Observations (GEO-X) and the 2014 GEO Ministerial Summit, hosted by Switzerland, will take place in Geneva from 15 to 17 January 2014. A key component of these events is the Group on Earth Observation Exhibition, which will provide tangible examples of GEO achievements.
During the Exhibition a large scale European stand will provide space to Member States, participating organisations and EC-funded research projects to showcase their contributions to the Group on Earth Observations (GEO) and the Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS). A section of the European stand will be dedicated to Copernicus.
During the Geo Week several meetings and side events will take place. In particular, an event entitled 'Copernicus Today and Tomorrow', will be organised on January 16 from 14.30–16.30. It will present the status and recent developments of each of the six Copernicus services and will provide a future perspective of the Programme, focusing, in particular, on the envisaged new satellite capabilities. In addition, European Commission's recently adopted Delegated Act on Data Policy and Information Services will also be presented.
