A European Commission video to promote European tourism has won a prestigious video award in Cannes.
The video, which promotes Europe as a tourist destination, won the prize at the 'Cannes Corporate Media and TV Awards', held on October 17th. It won the Silver Dolphin award in the Tourism Films category.
The video was produced as part of the ‘Europe – Whenever You’re Ready’ campaign to highlight the diverse cultural heritage and beauty of Europe. The campaign encourages tourists to discover the 'old continent' and enjoy the travel experience of a lifetime.
Financed by the European Commission, the campaign was organised in partnership with the European Travel Commission (ETC), the umbrella organisation for national tourism boards in Europe. Its objective is to add value to the promotional activities of individual Member States and the European tourism industry, as a whole.
