Denmark is educating its entrepreneurs to reduce bankruptcies and ensure success
According to statistics, one out of two new Danish businesses give up and are declared bankrupt during their first five years. The Væksthus Hovedstadsregionen (Growthhouse for Copenhagen area) aims to change this negative trend. It is cooperating with 13 municipalities in Copenhagen and a number of trade-promoting agencies to launch a new education programme for entrepreneurs.
The aim is to give them the skills and support to bring their businesses successfully through the dangerous early years. The project will run through 2014 and is co-funded by the ESF.
