Do people think that small companies or large companies make most efforts to behave responsibly towards society? And do they think that the overall impact of companies on society is positive or negative? These and other questions are part of a unique survey covering the EU and countries such as the USA, China, Brazil, India and Turkey.
The answers of course depend on who you ask. Europeans are much more likely to think that smaller companies behave responsibly compared to large companies. But ask a Brazilian and you’ll probably get a very different answer. Europeans also tend to be less positive than non-Europeans about the overall impacts of business. But Europeans themselves are nothing if not diverse: 85% of Danes think enterprises have a positive impact compared to just 36% of Italians and Slovenians.
