EGNOS is the European SBAS (Satellite-Based Augmentation System) aiming to provide enhanced navigation precision through the use of a network of ground stations and geostationary satellites.

EGNOS is the European Satellite-Based Augmentation System (SBAS) that complements the GPS system.
It is Europe's first venture into satellite navigation and a major stepping-stone towards Galileo, Europe's own global satellite navigation system for the future.
