The ”GSMC Security Monitoring Officer” assists the GSMC Operations Manager in carrying out security monitoring operations of the Galileo System
The GSMC Security Monitoring Officer’s main function is to monitor the Galileo System status and security event date, identifying emerging threats to the Galileo system and taking appropriate measures to deal with the threat.
In addition, the Security Monitoring Officer will be part of the Crisis Management structure for the Galileo System, proposing operational countermeasures and carrying out instructions received via the "Joint Action" Galileo Chain of Command process.
