European Commission Vice President Antonio Tajani and Commissioner Michel opened today in Rome the European SME Week 2012. The European Commission also started a new audiovisual campaign entitled 'Europe helps you fulfil your ideas' broadcast on Euronews.
The campaign kicked off the 2012 European SME week today at 07:20 and will run for eight weeks until Friday 7 December.
It is the first audiovisual campaign done by the European Commission targeting SMEs. TV programs will highlight:
- Access to finance with loan guarantees, and support to Venture capital,
- Business development with Enterprise Europe Network supporting SMEs going international and finding technology partners,
- Entrepreneurship promotion with 'Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs' programme,
- European standardisation supporting SMEs accessing a 500 million consumers market.
The objective of the audiovisual campaign is to raise the awareness of entrepreneurs, wider public as well as policy makers of the key benefits of programmes run by DG Enterprise and the European Commission for SMEs.
