DG Enterprise and Industry is now preparing its Security Research Event 2012 on 25 – 26 September 2012, to take place during, and as part, of the Essen Security Conference and Exhibition, in the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
A secure Europe is the basis for planning our lives, for economic investments, for prosperity and freedom. With the objective to address major challenges, Security Research is permanently bringing together research and innovation, developing knowledge and innovative technologies, enhancing competitiveness and international collaboration, reducing the gap between research and market and creating rapid responses to the interests and needs of the citizens.
At this biennial high level international fair in Essen, with more than 1.000 exhibitors and 40.000 participants and decision-makers from over 100 countries, the European Commission will showcase a selection of FP7 research projects and achievements.

If you are interested in attending, please register online as soon as possible. Once your enrolment is confirmed, registration codes will be sent to you by email for your registration at www.security-essen.de, enabling you to purchase also tickets for entering the fair and the Security Research exhibition area.
In case you wish to attend the Security Research event only, registration at www.security-essen.de and ticket purchase is therefore not necessary. However, note that this option will not grant the participant access to the fair nor the Security Research exhibition area.
You will receive a confirmation of your participation in due course. Missing and/or incorrect information provided in the registration will void the latter.
In the afternoon of 25th September, a brokerage event will also be organized by the National Contact Points network (SEREN2). For participation at this particular session, an additional specific registration is also required from participants at the following page.
