The conference will deal with Market surveillance for industrial products, focusing on machinery together with topics such as the New Legislative Framework and the Sectoral Directives including more particularly capital goods falling under the Machinery Directive.
This event is being organised in line with the commitments taken by the Commission in the October 2010 Communication on An Integrated Industrial Policy for the Globalisation Era to ensure the timely implementation of the Single Market Act, draw up a multi-annual EU action plan to develop EU market surveillance and develop guidelines for customs control in the area of product safety. It will look into the important role of market surveillance for growth and jobs and sustainability as well as its contribution to innovation.
