European SME Week 2011: Bringing Europe’s most important job engine under full steam

The objective of the Week (03 - 07 October) is the promotion of SMEs and the culture and spirit of entrepreneurship across Europe in line with the Small Business Act for Europe.
Across the 37 participating countries (EU 27 Member States plus Albania, Croatia, FYROM, Iceland, Israel, Liechtenstein, Montenegro, Norway, Serbia and Turkey) more than 1100 events will provide information on support for micro, small, and medium-sized businesses, promote entrepreneurship as an attractive and realistic career option for European citizens, and recognise the achievements of European entrepreneurs.
