New contract for translation of technical regulations in relation to notifications under Directive 98/34/EC

The objective of the contract is to provide translation services to the Commission. The translation services subject to the Contract are necessary to effectively manage the procedure under Directive 98/34/EC, which obliges Member States to notify the Commission of all new draft technical regulations regarding products and information society services. This procedure is a preventive monitoring instrument managed by Directorate-General Enterprise and Industry for the whole Commission to ensure the proper functioning of the internal market in the area of products and information society services.
