The objective of this call for tenders is to draft user-friendly guidelines/factsheets on the rapid and efficient enforcement of outstanding claims by SMEs, that will be made available to businesses on the new version of the European e-Justice Portal.<br/>

SMEs represent more than 99% of all businesses and employ more than 90 million in Europe. They are the engine behind our economy and must be kept strong, competitive and innovative." European Commission Vice-President Antonio Tajani, Commissioner for Industry and Entrepreneurship

The guidelines/factsheets on the rapid and efficient enforcement of outstanding claims should encompass recommendations, best practices and practical models helping SMEs in managing their claims vis-à-vis other businesses, public authorities and consumers, as well as model provisions and contractual clauses. The guidelines should also focus on credit management, i.e. the process for controlling and collecting payments from customers.

After translation by the Commission in all other official EU languages, guidelines/factsheets will be published in a new section "Are you owed money?"/"Do you owe money?" of the European e-Justice Portal.
