The objective of the contract is to provide information that will assist public authorities, in particular regional authorities, in designing strategies, policies and programmes to support and strengthen the international competitiveness of the European chemicals industry. This shall be done through a comparative analysis of relevant data and policies in regions with a strong presence of chemical industries (hereafter referred to as “chemical regions”) with a view to identifying relevant benchmarks and best practices.
