European Commission Enterprise and Industry took part in the Hannover Fair 2011 from 4 to 8 April with several presentations from policy officers. This fair is the world’s leading showcase for business, industrial technologies, materials and product ideas.
The stand showcasing main European policies for enterprises and industries included information on the and all the relevant support to enterprises. Information on CE Marking was also provided, since a lot of compulsory CE marking applies to various large and small, industrial and residential technological products, and there is still a need to make enterprises aware of the advantages of the use of the CE marking.
Every day European Commission policies were illustrated through presentations which included Europe 2020 flagship initiatives on Industrial Competitiveness and Innovation Union , as well as support to small and medium-sized enterprises . Three Commissioners visited the stand: Commissioner Johannes Hahn, responsible for Regional Policy; Commissioner for Trade, Karel De Gucht; and Günther Oettinger, responsible for Energy.
