Innovation can help the EU tackle climate change, energy efficiency, demographic evolution and other key challenges. E&I magazine’s main feature is dedicated to reviewing the European Commission’s ambitious plans to transform Europe into an Innovation Union, one of the Europe 2020 strategy’s seven interrelated flagship initiatives.
Issue 9 also examines another of these flagships: the new integrated industrial policy for the globalisation era, which aims to maintain and support a strong, diversified and competitive industrial base in Europe.
