This year the Conference entitled "European<br/>standardisation for the next decade" will be<br/>dedicated to the consideration of the issues paper of EXPRESS <br/>EXPRESS is the Expert Panel for the Review of the European<br/>Standardisation System which will be<br/>released by 5th October. <br/>EXPRESS was created by<br/>the European Commission to provide strategic<br/>recommendations on European standardisation with<br/>a horizon of 2020 <br/>Web streaming<br/>The whole event will be streamed live on the Enterprise and Industry Multimedia Portal .
The Conference will feature 3 panel debates open to the participants on key themes of EXPRESS :
- European standardisation in the changing global context
- the needs of competitiveness and public and societal demands moving towards 2020: changes in European standardisation structures and capabilities.
This World Standards Day 2009 event will bring together high-level representatives of the standardisation community, including public authorities, standardisers, industry and NGOs.
Interpretation will be provided from and into English, French, German, Italian, Polish and Spanish.
Attendance is free of charge but the number of places is limited. Please register in good time in order to avoid disappointment:
