Stakeholders' meeting on 'Erasmus for young entrepreneurs'

Strong support for cross-border mobility of young entrepreneurs within the Internal Market. This is one of the main conclusion of the Stakeholders' Meeting "Erasmus for young entrepreneurs" that took place 17-18 December 2007 in Brussels.<br/>More than 140 representatives from national ministries, business associations, business support organisations, educational institutions, civil society organisations and EU institutions participated in the event.<br/>They came to the conclusion that cross-border business to business contacts will enhance entrepreneurship and internationalisation of young entrepreneurs. Ms Maive Rute, Director at DG Enterprise and Industry said that "Erasmus for young entrepreneurs has the potential to become a large scale mobility scheme". Mr Gianni Pittella, Member of the European Parliament, said that "the value of such a programme is extraordinary and constitutes a fundamental instrument for enhancing entrepreneurship in Europe".
