EUROPE 2020 Strategy for Growth - Creating a business environment for more and better jobs - Mission to the Region of Campania (Italy)

Antonio Tajani, at the rostrum

European SMEs have been going through quite some difficulties and faced a lot of challenges over the last years.

Building on the successful visits to foster business cooperation carried out in Greece and Portugal last year, Vice President of the European Commission Antonio Tajani visited Campania to contribute assisting local SMEs to successfully overcome current difficulties.

About the event

Vice President Tajani of the European Commission has therefore joined forces with Mr Caldoro, President of the Region of Campania to make European companies aware of existing business and investment opportunities in the area. To support this key priority, the regional government of Campania has organised a conference in Naples with the objective of making European companies aware about local opportunities. At the same time a business-to-business forum has been set up to allow European enterprises to meet potential local partners.

High potential sectors have been chosen as key (but not exhaustive) areas for the business-to-business meetings:

  • Aerospace
  • Cultural Heritage
  • Eco Building
  • Biotech
  • Energy
  • Transport and Logistics
  • Automotive
  • Agrofood
  • Fashion
  • Tourism
