International Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Training Database

A database maintained by agencies of the United States Government and industry associations that provide training and technical assistance relating to protecting IPR. The database is a tool designed to permit the IPR Training Coordination Group, composed of these U.S. private and public sector training providers, to share information in order to coordinate and plan IPR training, as well as respond to queries about U.S. IPR training activities.

Online IPR Training Module

This online training program can help you learn how to evaluate, protect, and enforce your IPR. It has been developed by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Office of Intellectual Property Rights and the USPTO, Small Business Administration, and Foreign Commercial Service.
The program is available free online at www.stopfakes.gov in English, Spanish, and French.


Outreach and Seminars

The U.S. Department of Commerce’s Office of Intellectual Property Rights regularly conducts outreach and training events about how companies can protect and enforce intellectual property rights in the U.S. and overseas. USPTO Inventors Assistance Program

This link will take you to USPTO computer training modules, as well as podcasts on the iTunes system designed for inventors. The program also webcasts presentations to university business and entrepreneurship classes. There is a dedicated toll-free number in the U.S. for independent inventor inquiries (1-800-786-9199) as well as an Inventor’s Resource page.


China IPR SME Helpdesk

The China IPR SME Helpdesk offers training events, workshops and question-and-answer sessions with experts on IPR enforcement in China. These events are held around Europe as well as in China. Find the latest events or request a customised consultation for yourself or your organisation, if it involves European small and medium-sized enterprises.

IPeuropAware

The European Commission and national IP Offices of EU Member States organise training events to improve enterprise awareness and competence in IP. A number of these events are run under the IPeuropAware project.


European IPR Helpdesk

The European IPR Helpdesk provides training and e-learning materials related to IPR issues in EU-funded projects, especially FP7 and CIP (7th EU Framework Research Programme, and Competitiveness and Innovation Programme).


Customs and Border Protection IPR Speakers

Intellectual Property Awareness Campaign (IPAC)

USPTO has offered an "IP Basics" program nationwide since 2005 to more than 1,000 SMEs. These events include presentations on how to protect and enforce patents, trade secrets, trademarks, domain names, and copyrights domestically and internationally.
