Aim of the Assistance
The EU Delegation to Turkey and the P2P team have decided to organise a workshop dealing with the role of civil society organisations in fighting against discriminations. This workshop will focus on discriminations in the field of employment and access to social services.
The aim of the meeting is thus to bring together representatives of civil society organisations as well as the relevant public institutions from Turkey in order to:
1. improve their knowledge regarding the EU acquis and member states practices in the field of anti-discrimination, as well as on the Turkish legislation, including recent developments and relevant debates;
2. introduce the tools that are at the disposal of civil society organisations and trade unions for ensuring the effective implementation of anti-discrimination legislation and the empowerment of civil society in this regards;
3. exchange information and reinforce the dialogue between the relevant stakeholders within Turkey and the EU
This event will take place in Turkey, with participants coming from Turkish civil society organisations.
