Aim of the Assistance
The meeting planned aims to give more insight in rabies control and aims to enhance regional cooperation in order to control rabies.
Rabies is a transboundary disease - a disease not respecting borders - which implies that effective control strategies need to be coordinated between countries. By improving coherence of eradication strategies between neighbouring countries, the regional rabies eradication done by co-financed European eradication programs will be more likely to succeed.
