Reform of police and judiciary

The enforcement of the rule of law notably through reform of police and judicial reform are major priorities. Efficient police and an effective judiciary are two features of the rule of law and democracy. Modernisation of capacities and support in the implementation of EU legal standards bolstering the management of human resources are among the main objectives of EU assistance. Appropriate capacities would notably strengthen policies, such as the fight against corruption and organised crime, migration policy, as well as visa or border control policies.
