Culture and tourism

Cultural heritage is widely recognized as a vehicle of cultural identity and diversity as well as of mutual understanding. Cultural heritage is furthermore a significant asset for economic development and tourism. Appropriate infrastructure, as well as preservation and restoration of cultural sites are essential to foster tourism.
