Statistics 2000-2006

Since 1991, The European Union has provided more than € 7 billion in assistance to the countries of the Western Balkans through its various aid programmes.
In December 2000, the European Union's principal instrument for financial assistance to the region has been CARDS.
The full financial envelope for 2000 - 2006 for CARDS is € 5.13 billion.
