On 25th October 2005 the Commission adopted the
2005 Comprehensive Monitoring Reports on Bulgaria's and Romania's
preparations for EU accession. On 9th November 2005 the Commission
also adopted reports on Croatia and Turkey as well as on the other
countries of the Western Balkans including an opinion on the application
from the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia for EU membership.
In addition, proposals for renewed parterships were presented
for all countries except Bulgaria and Romania. These proposals
were amended and approved by the Council early 2006.
