Biofuels - Emissions from cultivation
Members States reports - Article 19 (2)
Article 19(2) of the Directive 2009/28/EC on Renewable Energy requires Member States to submit a report, first due by December 2010, to the European Commission (EC) on progress emissions from cultivation (including a list of areas on their territory where GHG emissions from crop cultivation can be expected to be at or below average, as set out in Annex V, part D. The report is required to describe the method and data used.

Article 19(4) of the Directive 2009/28/EC on Renewable Energy required the EC to report on the feasibility of drawing up lists of areas in third countries with low greenhouse gas emissions from cultivation.
