Fourth Plenary Meeting (October 2008)

The fourth plenary session of the Berlin Forum took place on 6-7 October 2008.

More than 120 participants of the Plenary discussed a few particularly current topics including the role of fossil fuels with respect to climate change, incoming second Strategic European Energy Review and the policy initiatives being prepared in the context of this document.

The participants of the plenary agreed that the Berlin Forum should continue to serve as a useful platform for structured dialogue between the Commission and the stakeholder community on issues of pertinence to fossil fuels. It was confirmed therefore that the participants should maintain the practice of regular meetings of Berlin Forum working groups until the next plenary session in 2009.
