Future funding for energy policy

Connecting Europe Facility

On 19 October 2011, the European Commission (EC) published the "Connecting Europe Facility" to fund €50 billion worth of investment to improve transport, energy and digital networks across Europe. The energy sector will benefit from €9.1 billion for trans-European infrastructure, which will help close financial gaps and remove network bottlenecks. The money from Connecting Europe will act as leverage for more funding from other private and public investors.

Business and political leaders express strong support for the Connecting Europe Facility 2014-2020 for strategic infrastructure investment in transport, energy and internet. Watch the clip and listen to them. You can sign up and support the initiative, too!
