Since 1994, every second year, the European Commission (EC) and China’s Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) meet at the ENER-MOST Energy Conference, to discuss aspects of energy-related research. It provides a platform for the European and Chinese enterprises to meet and exchange.
The 8th edition of the EU-China biannual Energy Conference was scheduled side-by-side with the EC Energy Week at the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai. The conference focused on three items: renewable energy, smart grids and electric vehicles.
The 7th edition of the EU-China biannual Energy Conference took place on 6-7 November 2008 in Brussels. The EC and MOST agreed to enhance research cooperation in areas such as sustainability criteria for biofuels, nuclear fission, Carbon Capture and Storage, and Joint Technology Initiatives in the field of Hydrogen Fuel Cells.
