The Decision No 1364/2006/EC foresees the appointment of European coordinators in order to monitor and to facilitate the implementation of the most critical identified priority projects. In this context, the appointment of Coordinators has also been mentioned as an opportunity for important infrastructures encountering difficulties in the conclusions of the European Council of 8/9 March 2007.
Four European coordinators have been appointed on the 12 September 2007 by the European Commission (EC) for duration of four years and they will monitor projects facing technical, political or financial difficulties.
