Single market for gas & electricity

Public consultation

Establishment of the annual priority lists for the development of network codes and guidelines for 2015 and beyond

Consultation period

From 26/02/2014 to 09/05/2014

Reason why the consultation period is less than 12 weeks: as the   consultation has to be done on a yearly basis and as the issues have already in   advance been discussed with ACER, ENTSO-E and ENTSOG in the planning group   and furthermore with the broader stakeholder community at Florence and Madrid   Fora, a public consultation of 10 weeks is foreseen. Consulting for 12 weeks   would not be feasible as the exercise has to be repeated every year for the   following year and has to be adopted by end July in order to feed into ACERs   and ENTSOs annual work plans.

Policy field(s)

Gas, Electricity

Target group(s)

Public authorities, Member States authorities, private organisations, industry associations, SMEs, Consultancies, other relevant stakeholders and Citizens (inside and outside of the European Union).

Objective of the consultation

The objective of this consultation is to consult stakeholders on the priorities for the development of network codes and guidelines for 2015 and beyond. The European Commission has to establish in accordance with Article 6(1) of Regulation (EC) No.714/2009 ("the Electricity Regulation") and Article 6(1) of Regulation (EC) No. 715/2009 ("the Gas Regulation") an annual priority list identifying the areas to be included in the development of network codes.
