Single market for gas & electricity

Public consultation

Establishment of the annual priority lists for the development of network codes and guidelines for 2014 and beyond

Consultation period

From  02/04/2013  to  13/05/2013

Reason why the consultation period is less than 12 weeks:
As the consultation has to be done on a yearly basis and as the issues have been discussed already before at the Florence and Madrid Fora with the broader stakeholder community, a public consultation of 6 weeks is foreseen. Consulting for 12 weeks would be disproportionate as the exercise has to be repeated every year for the following year.

Policy field(s)

Gas, electricity

Target group(s)

Public authorities, Member States authorities, private organisations, industry associations, SMEs, Consultancies, other relevant stakeholders and Citizens (inside and outside of the European Union).

Objective of the consultation

The objective of this consultation is to consult stakeholders on the priorities for the development of network codes and guidelines for 2014 and beyond. The European Commission has to establish in accordance with Article 6(1) of Regulation (EC) No. 714/2009 ("the Electricity Regulation") and Article 6(1) of Regulation (EC) No. 715/2009 ("the Gas Regulation") an annual priority list identifying the areas to be included in the development of network codes.
