Objective of the consultation

The Commission has retained GL Noble Denton to, in cooperation with Pöyry Management Consulting, conduct a Cost-benefit analysis on gas quality harmonization within the EU. The consultants have submitted to the Commission a Preliminary Report of their findings. This Consultation has the aim of soliciting the view of interested parties on the report and in particular the assumptions made for the purposes of assessing costs and benefits. Interested parties are requested to consider the specific questions addressed in the accompanying questionnaire document but are of course welcome to provide comments beyond those as well. After this consultation the consultants will finalize their analysis by the end of the year.
