Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER)

ACER is a EU body established in 2010. It has its seat in Ljubljana, Republic of Slovenia. It's mission is to assist National Regulatory Authorities in exercising, at Community level, the regulatory tasks that they perform in the Member States and, where necessary, to coordinate their action.

Third countries outside the EU may participate in the ACER according to Article 31 of the Regulation. Staff Working Paper SEC(2011)546 sets out the preliminary views of the EC on its interpretation.
