The Madrid Forum was set up to discuss issues regarding the creation of the internal gas market. Currently it is addressing cross-border trade of gas, in particular the tarification of cross-border gas exchanges, the allocation and management of scarce interconnection capacity and other technical and commercial barriers to the creation of a fully operational internal gas market.

An information morning on a new call for proposals for Smart Cities and Communities will take place on 12 February 2015 in Brussels. The call for proposals on solutions integrating energy, transport and ICT through lighthouse projects under Horizon 2020 will open on 10 December 2014. The deadline for submitting proposals is 5 May 2015.
